چکیده
The use of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) bars in GeoPolymer Concrete (GPC) structures has drawn increasing attention recent years. application GPC with basalt (BFRP) reinforcements replacing Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) and steel leads to green sustainable constructions. Currently, very limited studies have been conducted investigate the performance beams BFRP under static loads, but no study on their impact loads reported yet open literature. In this study, ambient-cured were designed, cast tested loads. damage mode quantitative results such as midspan deflection, reinforcement strain, reaction forces recorded analysed. Test showed that spiral stirrups led superior both compared conventional rectangular stirrups. commonly used concrete material model *Mat_072R3 LS-DYNA was modified based test data material. With model, numerical models developed calibrated against results. Parametric carried out influences strength longitudinal stirrup ratios subjected It also found using compression better because shear vulnerable splitting

Viscoelastic behaviour of a polyester resin concrete reinforced with non- metallic bars under bending loads
This paper deals with the study of a highly durable polyester polymer concrete reinforced with glass fibre reinforced polymer rebars. The paper describes the properties of this specific concrete, which were tested using different experimental techniques such as porosimetry, scanning electron microscopy and petrography. Likewise, characterisation in a macro-scale was carried out to define the me...

Utilisation of fly ash and Ground Granulated Blast Slag as an alternative material in concrete reduces the use of OPC in concrete. Evolution of geopolymer concrete cured at ambient temperature broadens its suitability and applicability to concrete based structures. This paper presents the mix proportions and outcome of an experimental study on the density and compressive strength of geopolymer ...
متن کاملNumerical Study on the Flexural Behaviour of Concrete Beams Reinforced by GFRP Bars
Enhancement of the response of reinforced concrete (RC) beams using fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcement bars has become a popular structural technique over the past two decades due to the well-known advantages of FRP composites including their high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance. Thisstudy presents n...
متن کاملBehaviour of Reinforced Fibrous Concrete Beams under Reversed Cyclic Loading
When earthquakes occur, energy released by the earthquake gets induced into the structure as ground motion and this energy has to be dissipated for safety reasons. To release seismic energy, the structure should damage in such a way that on one hand, collapse of structure should not occur and on the other hand, after the earthquake, damage should be economically feasible to repair. To avoid the...
متن کاملShear strengthening of reinforced concrete beams with CFRP
The current paper reviews existing design guidelines for strengthening beams in shear with carbon fibre reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets and proposes a modification to Concrete Society Technical Report TR55. It goes on to present the results of an experimental programme which evaluated the contribution of CFRP sheets towards the shear strength of continuous reinforced concrete (RC) beams. A tot...
